I photograph as if I am a filmmaker moving in incredibly slow motion. After shooting one image I look for another to complete the scene. This process merges distinct views that combine external senses and the internal imagination. With the use of montage I extend both time and space making the whole different than the sum of its parts. I am exploring how we remember things and in this way how memory can intensify the meaning in every encounter. Using nature as the essential source of all experience, I am creating moments between moments that reach into the surreal. Selections from Wanderlust, (images 1-8), is a view of the world moving at 2 miles an hour while recording its impact on our thoughts and senses. Selections from Fortuna, (images (9–13), is a look at the edges between chaos, randomness and order in the realm of both play and carnival rides. Selections from Eurydice, images (14–17), is a visual metaphor for loss and the need to let go based on the Greek myth of Orpheus.
